Avon Valley SGO

I took on the role of Avon Valley SGO in September 2021. I previously 21 years as a PE teacher in West Sussex, Cheshire and predominantly Wiltshire. I have taught in primary and secondary schools, a prep school and was a school sport coordinator for several years. I cover the following areas: Tidworth, Pewsey, Marlborough, Amesbury and Durrington.

My partner, my 15yr old twin boys and I love getting up and active in all things non-traditional (motorbike trials, skiing, watersports!) and if we can tie it in with travelling and camping in our VW Caravelle then even better!

Salisbury SGO

My name is Becky Webb and I am the SGO for Salisbury, based at Wyvern St Edmund's. Before becoming an SGO, I was the SSCO for the Laverstock Cluster and a secondary PE teacher.

I hope that my love of sport and physical activity will inspire others to become more active. Therefore, I aim to provide opportunities for all children to take part, whether in the traditional sports of Football and Netball or alternative sports such as Dodgeball and Orienteering.

My main sport is Cross Country running, I just love mud and being outdoors! I am a qualified Mountain Leader so also enjoy time away in my campervan climbing mountains.

Please get in touch if you would like to discuss how I can help your school in my role as SGO.

PE Inclusion Lead

I am here to help, assist & advise you on how to include all your pupils in physical education & school sport. My aim is to ensure that all young people whatever their ability have a positive experience in your lessons & clubs.

This can be achieved through working directly with schools to provide free bespoke training during twilight sessions or on inset days. A typical course which introduces the principles of PE inclusion, inclusive sport formats & simple behaviour management techniques takes 3.5 hours. However, you can give me a brief & I will tailor the course to suit your requirements.

Leadership, Coaching and Volunteering Lead

My name is Jessica Pierce from Abbeyfield School and I'm delighted to be the Youth Sport Trust lead on Leadership, Coaching and Volunteering. I'm responsible for delivering /giving the opportunity to Wiltshire Schools access to this amazing Leadership programme, that Youth Sport Trust offers.

I have been responsible for running the Sports Ambassador Programme at Abbeyfield for the past 6 years and feel very passionate about children being given the opportunity to lead. My inspiration comes from working with my fantastic Sports Ambassadors at Abbeyfield and watching them grow in confidence in all thing's leadership. My fundamental belief is you don't have to be sporty to be a leader, just willing to learn and want to lead. If you want to know anything or need advice on anything Sports Ambassador, Leading, Coaching and Volunteering then please contact me.
