Edward Gostling Foundation, The

The Edward Gostling's Foundation 'Vision' is that people living with a physical and/or mental disability or a long-term illness should have as many as possible of the same choices, quality of life opportunities and aspirations as others more fortunate than themselves. To help achieve this goal the Foundation provides grants to other charities with a gross annual income of £5M or less and operating front line services supporting this beneficiary group.

Small Grants:

Limited to small and medium-sized charities with a gross annual income of £3M or less. Under this programme the Foundation aims to fast track applications and make decisions within 1 month of the application date.  This programme is aimed at charities needing urgent grant support of up to £5K to help maintain an existing service.  Any grant awards made under this programme are unrestricted and may be used to meet the cost of any charitable activity, however the grant must be spent within 6 months of receipt.

Capital Grants:

Open to all charities with a gross annual income of £5M or less wishing to apply for a grant in excess of £5K towards the cost of funding a new project.  Any grant awarded under this programme will be restricted and may only be used towards the cost of the project to be delivered. There is no limit on the number of times you can apply under the Capital Grants Programme however, before applying again, you must have spent any previous grants awarded and fully complied with the terms & conditions of the award including any reporting requirements.

All grants should have a significant impact across one or more of 4 life "themes" and to become a Charity Partner you will need to demonstrate how your project outputs meet the Foundation's objectives in one or more of these themes.
