The School Games are back!

Over the last two years, the Wiltshire and Swindon School Games have taken place virtually, so the WASP team were so excited to welcome schools to our first face to face events last week.

26 schools travelled to Green Lane Playing Fields, Devizes (home to Wiltshire FA) to take part in three county finals. The first day was the Small Schools County finals on the 13th of January, which saw 8 teams battle it out in a round robin. Holt VC Primary School took home the trophy with Luckington Community School coming in second place.

The 18th of January was the turn of the girls teams. After a tense final, Red Oaks Primary School came out on top, beating Ruskin Junior School to take home 1st place.

The final day of action was the large schools. The standard was high from all teams but Brook Field came in first place, after a close final against North Bradley Primary School.

Winners will go forward to represent Wiltshire at the School Games South West Regional Competition! Well done to all schools who took part!
