Monica Hart
Board Member
WASP Board of Directors
Monica is a Chartered Marketer and MBA with > 30 years of experience in growing B2C/B2B businesses' revenue (not via acquisition) and their brand presence. She has also supported NGOs and charities/not-for-profits with award-winning lobbying/fundraising campaigns. Inherently curious, she has always been interested in innovation and was an early proponent of digital. She led the team that introduced one of the first e-commerce systems at PhotoDisc, a start-up subsequently taken over by Getty Images because of its sales success. Reflecting her lifelong interest in health and nutrition, she went on to help the NHS save money through the introduction of the first interactive symptom checkers and interactive body maps on the NHS Choices website and developed some of the first social patient communities/ healthcare apps at WPP. She also worked on wellbeing at work/corporate fitness/nutrition programmes ahead of the curve and successfully introduced automation into the traditionally slow moving, highly regulated animal health and nutrition industry.
Having graduated with distinction on a Fast-Track MBA course that she did while working full-time, she decided to move back to her main areas of interest – helping 'technology for good' SMEs focus, fund, find commercial success and future-proof, mainly in the confluence areas of food tech, e-health and biotech – at the end of 2018 with eSeidr. She acts mainly as a non-executive /advisor but in a 'hands-on' capacity so customers can get access to senior level resource/coaching as and when they need it at affordable rates. Monica's mentoring also extends to leisure activities; she is a qualified UK Athletics running coach, helping those who don't like running clubs meet their fitness goals.
