Join the Movement

Join the Movement was established in March 2020 as a direct response to COVID-19 with the objective of providing inspiration, guidance and practical advice to support people to be active in and around their homes during lockdown.

Centered on an online hub combining the latest government advice and resources from trusted providers, the campaign celebrated the fun and innovative ways people found to be active despite the restrictions.

Over the next few months, Join the Movement will focus on supporting and encouraging those that are not confident about returning to established exercise after 18 months in various forms of lockdown, particularly adults aged 25-34. This group was following a fairly flat trend before the pandemic but have seen drops compared to 18 months ago for both men and women.

  • A range of ideas to get active at home and in your local area.
  • Fitness challenges to keep you motivated and on track!

Support Join the Movement

Sport England want anyone who shares our ambitions and values to help spread the message of Join the Movement across the nation.

The easiest way to get involved is to share posts on the @JTMEngland social media channels. However, you can also register to become a supporter of Join the Movement to access a toolkit of images, logos and templates you can use to create your own Join the Movement content.
