Wiltshire Senior Games
On Thursday May 6th 2021, WASP will be delivering a Virtual Senior Games for 6 care homes in Wiltshire. After a successful Virtual Senior Games in Swindon back in October, delivered by Swindon Sports Forum, WASP is looking to increase physical activity opportunities for older people across the county.
The games will consist of 4 activities: Foam Javelin, Tin Can Alley, Golf Putting and Target Mat and will give everyone taking part the opportunity to have lots of fun and be a little bit competitive against other care homes.
Each care home will keep track of their scores and submit them to Chris Baker on the final day of the games, Sunday 9th May 2021. Scores for all 4 activities will be added up with the winning team being the care home that scores the most points over all the activities. Everyone that takes part in the games will receive a medal or a certificate and the winning care home will receive the golden trophy.
WASP would like to run a further games in October this year where both the Swindon and Wiltshire care homes can compete against each other to see who the overall county winner of Virtual Senior Games is!
