Virtual Senior Games a Huge success!

SVGCongratulations to our partners at Swindon Sports Forum who ran a fantastic Older People's Olympics in October 2020!  More than 50 residents from 6 Swindon care homes took part in the Virtual Senior Games, competing in a range of activites including tin can alley, target throwing, foam javelin and golf putting.

Each home received an activity pack of equipment and instructions to enable them to participate.  To make the event complete, there was a torch relay and medals were awarded at the end of the day.

As spokesperson from Swindon Sports Forum said:

"As well as testing residents' skills, the games offered a chance to have a little bit of fun during these challenging times".

We can't wait to see what 2021 will bring!
