A message from Steve Boocock, CEO of Wiltshire and Swindon Sport:
We are committed to promoting safeguarding and protecting children, young people and any vulnerable adults who are involved in sport, and consider it in everything we do. WASP works with the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit, the Ann Craft Trust, National Governing Bodies of Sport, UK Coaching and other organisations to support you in developing and promoting best practice and responding to concerns.
WASP also works within the Local Safeguarding Children Board’s guidance. For more information on this visit the Safeguarding Vulnerable Peoples Partnership for Wiltshire, and for Swindon the Swindon Safeguarding Partnership.
WASP has achieved the advanced level of the Standards for Safeguarding and Protecting Children in Sport and is currently maintaining and embedding these standards by adopting the national safeguarding framework
WASP has recently achieved the Ann Craft Trust Safeguarding Adults in Sport Framework meaning that WASP is meeting the essential requirements of all the framework criteria.
