Wiltshire and Swindon Sport is committed to helping everyone become more physically active and to improve their physical and mental well-being.  We have a wealth of expertise and experience in developing and delivering targeted sport and physical activity interventions to enhance health and well-being. This section gives information on National and Local Strategies to combat obesity and the groups, organisation and activities that you can participate in across Wiltshire and Swindon to improve your Health and Wellbeing.

We are working with Mind, the mental health charity. We all know that being physically active is good for our bodies. But our physical health and mental health are closely linked – so physical activity can be very beneficial for our mental health and wellbeing too.
It’s really important to exercise and stay physically active as you get older. Here our partners Age UK have tips and advice on keeping fit and how to stay active as you get older.
The British Heart Foundation fund research to keep hearts beating and blood flowing. The world's biggest killers are under our microscope. We've made great progress, but there is more work to do.
Being overweight or obese contributes to numerous health conditions that limit the quality and length of life. Here you can find information about the Child and Adult Obesity Trategies, both nationally and locally.
